We are in shock to just learn of dr. Sims' passing. He was a great dentist and very patient. My daughter was a patient for 9 years and we have the funniest story Of our first visit. Rest in peace dr. Sims, you will be missed.

I just learned of Dan's passing last year. I am deeply sadden by this news. I worked for Dan as a dental assistant when he practiced in Harrisburg, IL. He was a friend to my husband and I. We traveled with him to Nevada when he took his boards. I know he loved his boys very much. Dan was a great story teller and had an incredible sense of humor. His laugh was infectious! Prayers for peace for his sons and other family members.

Dr. Simms was always wonderful to my family. I had the pleasure of knowing him for the better part of 16 years. He is a one of a kind and is truly missed. I am saddended to have just learned of his passing. Much peace and love to his boys and family.

He was my favorite dentist RIP Dr. Sims god bless you i wish i can see you one more time you were my favorite dentist but your in a good place now we all love you Sims!!!!! We will miss you daniel sims!!!

I have just found out this sad news. I have taken my granddaughter there since 2003 then my grandson 2007.I have always had a fear of dentist, but he always ease my grand children, not to mention that he was a great dentist. I am sadden to hear this. Though I know he is in a better place now.My thoughts & prayers goes out to his family.

Dr. Sims was so wonderful with my disabled child. When we went for our appt. today we cried. He was so kind and compassionate . We could of never afforded the two surgeries that our child needed due to 300 plus seizures a day. Dr. Sims took what the insurance gave. Heaven is blessed with a special angel. He will be missed beyond words.

Dan was a great friend to me for almost 40 years. Although separated by distance, he was a thoughtful correspondent with an unusual degree of personal honesty and integrity. On a less important note, nobody could tell a funny anecdote the way Dan could, and everyone will miss his self-deprecating sense of humor. The world is a poorer place for his loss.

My Disabled daughter had seen Dr. Sims for many years and really took the patience and time with her which I enjoyed so much. We would truly miss him.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Sims' family. He will be missed greatly by us.... My 4 children all went to his office; starting with my twins in 2000. I was always afraid my kids would never like the dentist but Dr. Sims proved me wrong. He was worth driving across town to keep him as our primary dentist. My kids enjoyed going and hearing his stories. Dr. Sims will always be in our hearts.

Dr. Sims was my girls dentist for the 4 years we lived in Vegas. This is such sad news! He was always so sweet and kind to my girls and treated them so kindly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Dr Sims was my dentist since I was a little girl, he was the only dentist that was patient and so nice to me ... til this day I thank him so much for his kindness and im thankful to have met this wonderful man.

My daughter Catherine went to Dr. Sims for many years. Her high anxiety would have been too much for many dentists to deal with but Dr. Sims was WONDERFUL. He was patient with her while at the same time stern enough to get the job done. She eventually felt comfortable with him and I'm happy to say she was much better the last few times seeing him. I will miss him and even Catherine will miss him too! Very sad to hear this news.

I was very shocked and saddened to hear of my Uncle Dan's passing. He was a great man and his whole family loved him dearly. He will really be missed.
I'm lucky to have grown up having had such a funny and caring guy as an uncle. Living across the country from each other meant we couldn't visit
as much as we'd like to but I always had a great time with him when we we're able to get together.

Dr.Sims was my dentist since I had teeth. I trusted him with my heart. He was an amazing friend. He was my dentist and my orthodontist for 9 years. I could never forget him.

We can't believe this news we are totally shocked. Dr. Sims was a one of a kind. He was so caring, kind and knew how to talk to our son about his dental needs. He took us when there were few dentist that would take Medicaid patients. He will be missed especially by our son who listen to him. My heart goes out to the Sims family and the staff of Dentistry for Children. It is a strong testimony to Dr. Sims kindness and caring that his patients have been with him for 10, 12, 15 years. He has served my three children for the past 12 years. He really was much more than thoughtful dentist. He really knew how to get to kids. We will miss him greatly.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn that Dr. Sims had passed away. He was a wonderful dentist and an amazing man. He had so much patience with my daughter and her fear of the dentist. He was so gentle and compassionate with all of his young patients. He was a wonderful doctor and he is irreplaceable. My deepest condolences go out to his sons, your father was one of the best. Still can't believe this! Dr. Sims was an excellent dentist, he was always so patient with my daughter and for that I will forever be thankful. I will never forget my daughter's response when I told her that her appt with Dr. Sims had to be canceled and the reason why...she simply said "I just seen him and he was fine". As we move on to find another dentist, I already know that we will never find one like Dr. Sims!! Rest well Dr. Sims...you will be missed!!!

I was totally shocked to hear the Dr.Sims had passes away. Though Dr. sims was my daughter's dentist for only two years, the care that he gave her was amazing. The dedication he had to his little patients is unsurpassed! You don't find doctor's like he was anymore! My deepest sympathy goes out to his sons, your father was a fine man and a wonderful doctor. Dr Dan Sims was an amazing Dentist and friend he will be missed. He was our children dentist and was always kind and helpful to me and my kids. When the economy went bad in 2008 I lost my health and dental insurance he took my children and fix there teeth at a discounted price. I am eternal grateful to the kind generosity that Dr Sims did for us. The kingdom of heaven has a new angel. RIP my friend

Dr. Sims has been my children's dentist for 12 years. We absolutely loved him. His loving manner toward the kids was unprecedented, not to mention his incredible skills in dentistry. He will be missed. My thoughts go out to his family, his office family and friends.

Dan was closer to me than a brother for much of my life, we met in 1979. My life was better because of Dan and his family in my life. He is missed me,my friends and family. Dan was clearly a genius, always was helpful and the hardest worker I ever met. Rest in peace my brother.
