On January 9, 2020, Jerrold C. Bocci, died from complications of glioblastoma. Jerry loved life, and he embraced the anti-cancer therapies with hope and strength. He was confident he would play golf, again, and return to his ophthalmic practice. It was not to be.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

My sincere condolences to the family. I didn't learn about Dr. Bocci's illness and death until now. I was a patient for many years, referred by Dr. Deitz upstairs at Union Street. I will miss his old school professionalism and dry humor.

Dear Mrs. Bocci,
Ms. Gail Summers of the Stein Eye Institute told me of Jerrold's passing.
As President of the Stein Eye Institute Alumni, please accept my condolences.
Practicing ophthalmology for 50 was an impressive legacy. I am sure he will be missed by you, his family, his patients and friends.
Please consider joining us at the Alumni reception which is held annually at the American Academy of Ophthalmology. The next AAO meeting will be November 14 to 17 in Las Vegas. Although the reception is usually on Sunday evening, the date has not yet been set.
With best regards,
Bronwyn Bateman, M.D.

Jerry was not only my opthalmogist but a valued friend in The Family. He will be sorely missed by myself and his many other friends. He was certainly blessed to have Barbara as his partner.

Dear Barbara and family. It was a pleasure working with Dr. B on and off for 42 years. One only has to see how long his staff stayed with him, to know how respected and cared for he was.
His patients thought the world of him too. He was the ultimate professional and a skilled doctor.
I'm sorry for your loss but you know he'll be with you forever in your heart. I'll never drink wine again without thinking of him! I don't do cigars but that'll get to me too. :-)
Warm Regards,
Stephanie Benoit

I worked in Dr. Bocci's practice for 14 years until 1996. Although I never had the chance to go visit much, I have fond memories of him. My deepest condolences to the entire Bocci family and to my former coworkers....May Dr. B. rest in eternal peace.

Rich and I are saddened by this news and extend our deepest sympathies. Dr. Bocci will always hold a special place in our hearts...truly a "one-of-a-kind" gentleman.
You are in our thoughts and prayers,
