I just found this site today at work. The other sites seemed untouched for awhile. I started looking harder. What a gift! I've needed this. To read everyone's comments. I feel a need to say to this community that my eldest child was born 9-11-11. I believed then as well as now this was not simply coincidence. I believe he watches over us all. Things like that show us. I see several people who have posted over and over. I would appreciate an opportunity to hear from you. If you ever feel the need to tell a story or share a laugh about Wayne "Dave" I'm all ears! lol I'd be grateful for some of your time. My heart goes out to the Davis' children. Don't you ever doubt that your Father wasn't uniquely amazing. Gabby, Chai. I mean that so so sincerely! Mom, That man adored you, I remember when it was just us three for years. To The Davis Family and All That Mourn Wayne Deeply. I still cry. I still hurt. I still remember. .. I am with YOU!! GOD BLESS.

I think of you with nothing but fondness as 9/11 comes around every year. I remember searching on the computer for Ben's old Army buddies wayyyy back in '03 or '04, and I found out that you were gone. We were heartbroken and still are. Ben and I aren't together anymore, but I know that we both think of you every year. You were a hilarious guy, a good man to the core...and the world is a poorer place because you are gone.
May God bless your sweet wife, your beautiful children, and your dear mother...see you soon, my friend!

I am just now finding out that Wayne has passed on 9/11. I served with Wayne in the 82nd Airborne Division, B co 3-504 PIR. I knew him as Cpl Davis back then. Wayne was a good man, a good leader, and a fine paratrooper. I am proud to have known him, served with him, and call him my friend. Wayne and I always gave each other a hard time, him being from Oklahoma and I from Texas....LOL We always "bummed" copenhagen snuff from each other when one of us was running low. You could always count on Wayne under any circumstance, no matter what. Wayne I hope you are looking down upon us right now smiling and remembering those days back in the 82nd, with all the guys. Reading the guest book, you are missed by so many people. That does not surprise me one bit. Wayne you are a hell of a man, a good father, a great paratrooper, and a dear friend. I miss you......... I will see you again, one day....... PS I'll bring the snuff...

Somehow I feel compelled to write a few words , all the while wondering if you see this or even know people are thinking of you. Perhaps your Mom and your wife sees this and knows that they are not alone. I hope so. Anyway, to whomever there is out there, I hope the memories and respect for the fallen count for something in this hate filled world. You and all the others are still remembered.
