Don Bigelow

Don Bigelow, a beloved partner, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away, preceded in death by his father, Malcolm R. Bigelow, and his mother, Marjori Carol (Rockwell) Bigelow.

Don grew up on a sprawling horse ranch in Edmond, Oklahoma, alongside his parents and sisters. His early years were filled with a passion for horses, which he raised and competitively showed across the country. He extended this love to his cherished Birman cats and Schipperke dogs. Don had an adventurous spirit, finding joy in motorcycles, 3-wheelers, building 4x4 Jeeps, and flying ultralight aircraft.

After graduating from Edmond Memorial High School in 1985, Don moved to Guthrie, Oklahoma. He dedicated over 20 years to the US Postal Service as a rural mail carrier, serving his community with commitment. Since 1989, he shared a vibrant life with his partner, Holly, enjoying their time together. Don was an avid fisherman, and he and Holly often traveled to local lakes to pursue his favorite pastime.

A true Oklahoma sports enthusiast, Don was a loyal fan of OSU Football and Basketball, as well as the Oklahoma City Thunder. In his leisure time, he meticulously restored classic and antique Jeeps and relished watching extreme 4-wheeling competitions and offroad racing. He was known for his sharp wit and keen sense of humor, which brought joy to those around him.

Don is survived by his loving partner, Holly; his sisters, Mandy Bigelow of Oklahoma City and Kindra Robbins of Spring Hill, Kansas; his nieces, Meghan Macy of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Shelby Robbins of Spring Hill, Kansas; his nephews, Chad Robbins of Spring Hill, Kansas, and Clark Cochran of Oklahoma City; along with four great-nieces and two great-nephews. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
