Jack and I were friends and brothers in Jesus, I visited him at Loving Care Home in Willis. We were both members of Mims Baptist Church. I visited him twice monthly beginning in July of 2019 when we first met and continued until February of 2020. Jack was a joy to visit, he had a joyful personality. Jack was a little memory challenged but so am I. I took a selfie of him and I, had it printed, gave hime a copy, it was by his bed, when I would come in I would greet him "Hey Jack, it is Benny from Mims Baptist Church! He would smile and was always glad to see me. I am not sure if or how much he remembered me. After several visits it did seem to me that he knew me as the guy who visits him. I would read to him short passages of scripture, play hymns familiar to him on my phone, we would sing together, he really enjoyed the scripture and hymns, he remembered the lyrics better than I did. :-) I was with him on his 82nd Birthday, I sang Happy Birthday to him, gave him a card and gift of a plaque with scripture. I last visited him on 02/29/20. Couldn’t visit again because of covid. I will see Jack again in a little while. Years down here are but milli-seconds in Heaven. Jack and I had another friend in common, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus sweetest name we know..Jesus can save anybody, anytime, anywhere, he loves you, whosoever will may come, so come to Jesus Christ now..
