He enjoyed the Packers and Brewers, but most of all attending all his children and grandchildren's special events; baptisms, graduations, concerts and sporting events. Most recently, Herb was thrilled to become great grandpa to Hugh and George. To Evaline and Family,
I send my thoughts and prayers and deepest sympathy. Herb was a great man and I enjoyed his humor and our conversations at Lidtkes, and also at the Capri on occasion. I have moved to the KC area, therefore, I will not be able to attend his funeral. God Bless. He will be in your hearts, forever.

My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Herb always had my respect and admiration. In my late youth I thought of him as another good father or role model in my life. Paul was my best friend in those years and Herb made me feel like a part of the family. I know he will be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers to all of you on the loss of Herb. I enjoyed my little visit with him at the nursing home a few weeks ago. He was a wonderful man and a great Lion. We were both involved in the Lion Eye Bank.
