William F. (Bill) Behrens, Jr., 60, of Port Charlotte, Florida, died Friday morning, September 26, 2008 at his residence. Born on November 2, 1947 in Flushing, Queens, New York, Bill, who moved to Charlotte County from Long Island, New York over 20 years ago, was a retired Residential Electrician and U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of American Legion Post 110, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club, both of Port Charlotte. He was Roman Catholic. Survivors include his beloved children, son William F. Behrens III of Port Charlotte, and daughter Christine Ann (husband Thomas) Moore of Savannah, GA; one brother, Daniel J. Behrens of Cornwall, NY, and three sisters, Nancy Behrens of Sarasota, FL, Margaret Donahoe of Crofton, MD, Ruth Lusco of Hollidaysburg, PA; a grandson, John Thomas Moore, and 10 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William F. and Catherine Behrens, and a sister, Kathleen Knack.

I cherish all the great memories I had growing up with Billy. When we all got together (Behrens, Rising's and McNeill's) we had a blast. Billy was always joking around and fun to be with. Billy will always be remembered!
