Maude Marjorie Coley Ward passed from this life on Monday, April 22, 2013. She was born May 31, 1922 to Nathan Paul and Maude Evans Coley in the Watery Branch Community of Wayne County. She completed her formal education at Greensboro College. She married her husband of 63 years, Ralph Harold Ward, Col USAF (Ret), and they traveled the world together until their retirement to Goldsboro, NC in 1966. Margie was a lovely and elegant lady that lived life to its fullest! She cherished her family, valued her many friends and loved beautiful things! She enjoyed playing bridge and attending many community events and activities. She loved being with people! In essence, Margie was a beautiful person inside and out in every sense of the word. Margie is survived by one sister, Ada Grey Coley Hunt of Stantonsburg, NC; a niece, Coley Hunt Rhodes of Stantonsburg, NC; and a nephew, Seth Prior Hunt, Sr. of Morganton, NC. She was loved by several nieces, nephews, other extended family, and her many friends. She will be missed more than words can say. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke United Methodist Church followed by a service to celebrate Margie's life at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Stantonsburg Cemetery, Stantonsburg, NC. Donations are suggested to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534 or to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1608 E. Pine Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
