Genevieve M. Fenner

Genevieve M. (Telesca) Fenner, 90, of Newington, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Everett R. Fenner. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Repoli) Telesca, she was a Newington resident most of her life and a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. Genevieve retired from the Arrow Tool Co. and then was employed by her nephew at Military Specialties, Inc. in Newington. She also enjoyed singing and was a member of the Village Gate Voices where she lived. A beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she leaves her son Ron Fenner and his wife Liz of Southington, her daughter Cheryl Ann Fenner of Farmington, two grandchildren, Shaun Fenner of Southington and Kristen Deprey and her husband Matt of Kensington and two great grandchildren Joey Fenner and Paige Deprey. She also leaves many nieces and nephews including Bill Moore of Newington who was like a son to her. She was predeceased by her siblings, Marie Moore, Paul Telesca, and Catherine Kramer. Her funeral service will begin on Monday, January 20th, at 9:00 a.m. at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Newington. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Newington Memorial.
