Elmer G. Schultz

Elmer Gerald Schultz, age 79 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region. He was born on June 9, 1936 in Bay City, the son of the late Frank and Bertha (Oeder) Schultz. On February 25, 1956 he married Judith A. MacNicol and they just celebrated their 60th Anniversary. Elmer was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He retired from the City of Bay City as the Superintendent of the Water Department. Elmer enjoyed spending time up at his property hunting with his family. He also loved spending time with his Jack Russel Terriers, Sassy and Molly and watching his grand kids sporting events. Elmer will always be remembered as "Decent Elmer with the Four K's and Judy too". Surviving family include his wife, Judith; his daughters, Kimberly (Dan) Schwartz, Kristy (Michael) Fogelsinger, Kari (Robert) Jablonski and Kelly (Jon) Herman; grandchildren, Misty (Colin) Sugar, Michael (Emily) McMann, Jack Schwartz, Jason and Andrea Fogelsinger, Zachary and Joshua Bauer, Amanda (Kyle) Whittaker, Crystal and Robert Jablonski II, and Drake and Maylen Herman; great-grandson, Bennett Sugar and many other step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Elmer was preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Gies and brother, Carl Schultz. In accordance with his wishes cremation and a private memorial service have taken place. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Handbell Choir.
