Rita J. Tedesco

TEDESCO Rita J. (nee Mazzone), age 96 of Aston, PA, formerly of Havertown, Drexel Hill and Springfield, PA on November 26, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph D., and loving mother of Patricia A. Guarino (Dr. Michael J.) and Nancy R. Cichanowsky (Andrew). She is also survived by her four grandchildren Andrew (Mona), Robert (Irene), Jeffrey (Nicole) Guarino and Suzanne Wanninger (Daniel); her seven great-grandsons; her sister, Claire Salvatore; her sister-in-law, Kay Tedesco; many nieces and nephews and her cat, Peanut (Pretty Girl). She was also predeceased by her four brothers and one sister. She worked at the Federal Reserve Bank from where she retired after many years. Re-Re spent many pleasurable afternoons and evenings cheering on The Phillies either on TV or in person with her son-in-law Andrew. She loved reading her Kindle, playing cards with her grandchildren and spending time with her entire family. She loved making Pizzelles and would make piles of them to share with neighbors and friends. She had a special devotion to Our Lady and prayed the rosary daily. Her daughters would like to especially thank LaChelle (Broomall Presbyterian Village) for the tender and loving care she showed to Re-Re during the last couple of months. Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing on Sunday, Dec. 4 from 7-9 PM and on Monday, Dec. 5 from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Danjolell Memorial Home, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008. Funeral Mass 10 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA. Interment at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
