Nicholas Patrick Simon

Our precious son and brother, Nicholas Patrick Simon passed away at home on a beautiful summer day, February 24th after a courageous battle with cancer. Nick accepted his illness with courage, grace and dignity and was surrounded by his family as he climbed the stairway to Heaven. Nick was the beloved son of James and Constance( DiTommaso) Simon, beloved brother to Jim and Val (Klein), Joshua, Rebecca Bray (Christopher), and Geoffrey, beloved grandson of Joyce Simon and Anthony DiTommaso. He is survived by many devoted aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to count. Nick was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bernard Simon, maternal grandmother Annette DiTommaso and uncle Michael DiTommaso Nick was the founding member of the Natural Marine Fishery Society #NMFS. Charter members include his brothers from his other mothers, Dan Cochran, Tim Barger, Louis Perry, Ian McIsaac, Pat Cochran, Scott Crezenzo and Chris Ashcraft. Nick will be fondly remembered by Bruce"Pops" Tate and all of the friends he met along the way on the 32 years he spent on earth. He is deeply missed by his faithful companion, Duke, the beloved pup who never once left his side on this very long journey home. Nick was a popular bartender at the Hulmeville Inn for over 10 years. He most recently worked for Jon Don Inc. of Langhorne Pa.Nick enjoyed watching the Eagles, Phillies and especially enjoyed a game of golf with his friends. He was a member of the Young Guns pool team for many years. He attended Neshaminy High School class of 2002 and was a member of Neshaminy's marching and jazz bands. Nick was a member of Boy Scout Troop 124 (Ja Monkey Patrol) and attained the rank of Life Scout. He enjoyed the many camping trips especially the trips out west with his dad, brothers and the troop. Nick's family will be forever grateful to his countless friends who came out in support to make the journey with him a little easier. The family would also like to thank everyone for all the prayers and support in the past months and are deeply grateful to the entire staff of Alliance Cancer Specialists, the oncology, infusion and ultrasound nurses at St. Mary Medical Center as well as all of the staff at Eleanor's Garden Hospice for their tender, gentle and loving care of our son. Nick's life will be celebrated with a memorial service from 6-8 at Beck - Givnish on New Falls Rd in Levittown on Friday March 3. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday March 4th at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Rd. in Levittown followed by interment at All Saints Cemetery on Rt 413 in Newtown.
