My Dad, John Sweeney always spoke so highly of Ed. They were very good friends who had great respect for each other. My thoughts and prayers are with the Sweeney family. He was a good man!

To all the Sweeney family, we have fond memories of Ed and Lee and their children. Ed and my father, John Sweeney, were close friends from their Army days and remained friends all through the years. A good and gentle man he was, always had a kind word for everyone.
Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him.

I truly would love to have been able to go to the funeral. I knew him as a lecter at church and Lee, his wife, as a choir member. He is survived by a wonderful family. You can be sure you are in my prayers.
