James A. "Jim" Frederick

James A. "Jim" Frederick, 90, of Avon for the last 10 years, formerly of Bay Village and Avon Lake, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Ames Hospice House in Westlake. Jim was born on February 10, 1927 in Amherst, and served in the US Navy during WWII. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, and was employed by Richard E. Jacobs for over 42 years as an Electrical Consultant, and then was the owner of JA Frederick & Associates for many years. Jim loved to work, and he also enjoyed shopping at Costco. Jim is survived by his wife, Cindy M. (nee Long) of Avon; children, Michael Frederick of Las Vegas; Kevin Frederick (Mary) of North Olmsted; and Christopher Frederick (Jamie) of NC; 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; siblings, Reba Staffold (Russell) of Elyria, Melva Hazen of AZ, and Paul Frederick (Gert) of PA.
