Tibbe Sr., William E.

William E. Tibbe, Sr. of Chestnut Ridge, NY passed away peacefully in his home on October 7, 2017. He's was 85 years old. William was born on May 23, 1932 to Clara and Garrett Tibbe in Kansas City, MO. He was survived by his children Cathy Mulligan and Bill Tibbe, his five grandchildren (Cat, John, Tyler, Danielle and Will), and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Amparo. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, William was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a world traveler who enjoyed spending time with his family and especially enjoyed the company of his Siamese cat, Doodlebug. He was passionate about science, history, geography, and politics, but his main passions in life were his love for his wife, and love for his family.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 11th from 4pm to 8pm at the WANAMAKER & CARLOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY. Private funeral service to follow Thursday, October 12th.
