Gerald W. "Jerry" Greubel, age 83, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 1:05 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.

Jerry was born April 26, 1936, in Evansville, IN, to Mary Greubel and was adopted by his grandparents. He graduated from Central High School in 1954 and was a Veteran in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany. Jerry worked as an auto mechanic for 41 ? years at Sears Roebuck before retiring in 1997. He was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ since 1965 where he served on the church council, various boards, and several committees. Jerry also attended Salem Church of Darmstadt. He collected beer steins and was an avid fan of IU basketball and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Jerry is survived by loving wife of 55 years, Sharon S. (Mangold) Greubel; sons, Keith Greubel of Evansville, IN and Kevin Greubel (Kelly) of Leo, IN; grandchildren, Justin Miller (Kasey), Ashley Greubel (Parker Delagrange), and Brittany Greubel (Quentin Hohman); and great grandson, Sawyer James Miller and great granddaughter, Grace Anelameilani Miller will be here any day.

He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents who raised him.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 13, 2019 at Bethel United Church of Christ, 3029 North Green River Road, Evansville with Reverend Stephanie Weiner officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery where the Kapperman Post 44 will render full military rites.

Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue and from 9:00 a.m. until service time, Monday, May 13, 2019 at Bethel United Church of Christ.
