Sending prayers to Sandy and family. So many fun memories of Louie when he had to deal with Sandy, Marlene & myself on trips to Horicon. What a great time in heaven Louie & Marlene are going to have.
He was such a special guy that always had a smile on his face.

We send our prayers to Sandy and family. Louie hunted with us for the last 30 plus years. His great sense of humor and stories would light up a room. God Bless you Louie. Make sure you share some of your stories with the man upstairs.

I remember history class and driver's education with Mr. Anthoine. He vividly described the reason why you always wear shoes while driving, a story that involved the bluff in Dubuque. I was probably one of the few who knew what he was talking about having lived in Platteville before highschool. He was a great teacher with stories that gave color to everything he taught. I was privileged to be one of his last classes before he retired. His son Louis was in my class. My condolences to his whole family.

Mr. Anthoine was a unique and memorable personality, as well as a gifted educator, and he left an indelible impression on my young mind. His teaching style was unorthodox but highly effective, instilling in me a love of history that has stayed with me through college, graduate school, and my career thus far. To this day, friends and I use many of Mr. Anthoine's colorful expressions in our conversations and daily lives, and he is never far from my mind when I'm behind the wheel of a car. I am thinking of him today with renewed gratitude. Although I share the sorrow that his family doubtless feels at his passing, I also am heartened to know that heaven has gained a worthy soul.

I am sorry for your loss Anthoine Family. He was a great neighbor and an even better teacher. Mr. Anthoine brought history to life in a way no other could, all the while holding us to higher ethics and morals, making us better humans in the end. Horicon has lost a giant.

To the Anthoine Family,
So sorry on the passing of Louis. I had him as a teacher and my drivers ed instructor. I will always remember the early morning drives to the McDonalds in Bd for breakfast and his history class was always one that I looked forward too. He will be greatly remembered by me and I send you all prayers of peace in his passing. Again sorry for your loss.
