Larry was both a father figure and mentor to me when I was towing up. We play many, many rounds of golf at Green Meadows and he was always a force to be reckoned with. Larry was single handedly responsible for my decision to attend University of Portland. He will be missed.

My heart goes out to LeClaire and all the family. Larry thought me a love of golf that I will always appreciate. His words have guided me and I am indebted to his skill and teaching over five wonderful Summers. Wonderful times. Thanks.

We knew Larry as a wonderful neighbor and friend when we moved here eight years ago. He will be missed around here as he could light up our streets with kind words and funny quips. Larry had new ideas for the poker group and our neighborhood get togethers were a lot of fun with his kind efforts. Our sincere sympathies to you, LuClair, and to his family. It is a shock to lose one as vibrant and caring, young and robust, as Larry, who truly enjoyed life and those near him. Peace to you all. Best wishes, Mike and Carol Pick

Playing golf at Heron Lakes with Larry was always a pleasure. Larry was a truly skilled golfer who treated his fellow golfers with real respect. I am honored to have known him.

Larry was an outstanding administrator and dedicated to the welfare and success of children. He managed with precision and attention to detail and was admired by many. I was honored to work with him for many years.

In 1967 Larry was my 8th grade basketball coach at Sabin School in NE Portland. A good guy and an intense but fair coach. My memory of him was his then trademark crew cut. Sorry to hear of his passing and may his memory be eternal

His was my vice principal at Ockley Green from 1971-1977. He was a great guy, he seem more like one of us instead of the vice principal.
So sorry for the family lost.

Lisa, Sara, Larry, and Todd, I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. He was such a big part of my life growing up in our wonderful little cul de sac. He helped me access swim lessons, fixed plumbing when my folks were out of town, got me a summer teaching job and more. My thoughts are with you all as you navigate this time of moving forward without your parents. I understand.

Larry - and Lucy - inseparable in love and as our "seat buddies" at Pilot games. We sent a separate note to you by e mail. And we are here for you if we can help.

Larry was a good friend and neighbor when we all lived on 59th Street in the Minnehaha area. His smile and laugh will be missed by us all. His kids were very fortunate to have such a great father.
