Billy was truly one of the all-time greatest gentleman. He was not only a close, genuine friend of my parents, but to us all and will fondly be remembered. Thank you, sir, for your service. May you rest peacefully with your angels.

Once a Marine, Always a Marine.
Another Marine Marine
September 3, 2020
Whenever I become aware that another Marine has answered his last muster, I am reminded by words in our Marines' Hymn that tells us, the streets of Heaven are guarded by United States Marines. Stack arms and rest your pack, Marine, and then take your post. Your work is not yet done. Semper Fi, and carry on.

I will never forget the day Cathy and I were able to take daddy to the Yorktown to see the ship. We had first class treatment compliments of Mr. Bill and his friends. It was special to us and will always remain a fond memory for me. My condolences to everyone. He was a special and wonderful man.

Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Spielvogel send heartfelt condolences to family of our beloved friend and dinner companion at The Palms. It was a blessing to know Bill and to share so many of his reminisces of barefoot fishing days as a boy, the years as a marine pilot in the Pacific, and his flights to upstate New York checking on silver companies no longer in existence.
His humor and observations of life
Will always be remembered.

Bill was a wonderful “across our pond” neighbor. He always made it a point to yell across when he would see me in the yard. I will always remember the occasional Bloody Mary shared on his porch. Rest easy Marine.... Condolences to the family.
