Bernadette L. Rousseau, 47, of New Boston, NH passed away in the comfort and familiarity of her own home Tuesday, January 12, 2021 following her second courageous battle with cancer. Bernadette was born October 21, 1973, the youngest of Donald and Lorraine (Tassis) Rousseau's fourteen children. She was raised in Manchester and attended West High School. Immediately after graduation Bernadette embarked on a lengthy and rewarding career in the restaurant industry. She deeply enjoyed her work as a server and bartender across many local establishments, most recently with Republic Café. She also had a passion for cooking and grew her own catering business, Gather and Graze, in her spare time. Bernadette loved to be outdoors and spent a great deal of time mushroom foraging in several of her favorite New Hampshire towns. She flourished in her role of wife and mother, and often found peace and comfort being near the ocean. Bernadette saw life as an adventure and never hesitated for a moment when a new and exciting opportunity presented itself. It was important to her that she instill in her children this same sense of appreciation and enthusiasm for everything life has to offer. Bernadette is survived by her husband and partner of 22 years, Eric Klesper; their children, 15-year-old Van and 13-year-old-Raegan; her siblings Stevie, Cookie, Albie, Willy, Bobby, John, Jacques, Joanne, Jackie, Germaine, and Raymond; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Donald and Lorraine, she was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Dickie Rousseau. Family and friends are invited to gather Wednesday, January 20th 3:00-5:00pm at Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. Please note current restrictions limiting funeral home capacity to no more than 50%. Those in attendance are respectfully requested to wear face coverings and practice social distancing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society online at https://donate3.cancer.org. This is the saddest news. Bernie, you were a shining light in a dark world. You made me and my family laugh every time we would sit behind the bar at Republic as customers. You were the kindest, sweetest, caring, sassiest person to work with there at Republic the two years we both worked there together. This world lost an angel. Deepest condolences to family and loved ones. Bernadette Rousseau was a treasure.

Dear Eric, Van and Raegan,
We were heartbroken to hear about Bernie's passing! She was such an awesome caring woman who
loved life and fought so hard to live it to the fullest despite her long battle with cancer! She was an inspiration to all who were blessed to know her and she died just as she lived ,a testament to courage and love of her family in the arms of her loving soulmate Eric. No distance can ever separate you and your Bernie!
