Stephen G. Brown, 78, of Hagerstown, died at his home on Monday, October 20, 2025.
He was born in New Castle on May 1,1947 to Donald William and Clementine C. (McConnaughy) Brown. He grew up in Losantville and had resided in Hagerstown since 1969. He was a graduate of Union High School.
Stephen was a member of New Testament Church of Christ. He was a retired employee of Perfect Circle / Dana Corp. Following his retirement, he was a school bus driver for Nettle Creek Schools. He enjoyed all local sports and officiating both little league and high school baseball. His family was his greatest joy.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Anna Brown; 3 sons, Patrick Brown (Erica), Rich Brown (Lisa) and Kevin Brown (Tanyia); 10 grandchildren, Ryley Brown, Alex Brown, Owen Brown, Evan Brown, Caden Creech, Isabella Brown, Amy Brown, Jayden Brown, Brady Brown and Gavin Brown; a sister, Rebecca Smith (Edward).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Stephen Brown, and a brother, Donald William Brown, Jr.
Visitation will be 11 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, October 25, at Culberson Funeral Home. Services will follow at 1 PM. Pastor Paul Gearhardt will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Losantville.
Memorials may be made to New Testament Church of Christ building fund.
