Michael Eugene Conaway

Michael Eugene Conaway, 70, of Connersville, passed away Saturday evening, December 20, 2025, at the Reid Health Campus in Richmond.

He was born February 12, 1955, in New Castle, Indiana, and was the son of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Polson) Conaway and his step-mother, Geraldine Conaway.

Michael was a member of the U.S. National Guard and was a retired welder with the Keener Corporation, a metal fabrication company in Connersville, for many years.

Those left to cherish Michael's memory include a son, Raymond (Amy) Conaway of Connersville; two grandsons, Austin (Cierra) Conaway of Metamora and Rayfe Conaway of Connersville; two step-daughters, Gail (Sam) Taylor and Patricia McRoberts both of Florida; five step-grandchildren, Cody (Angel) Vail, Nick Vail, Brittany Taylor, April Moyer, and Roger Moyer; a sister, Lois (Don) Clements of Florida; two step-sisters, Jessie Rich and Treva (Dave) Hurt both of Mooresville; a step-brother, Paul (Tammy) Wilkinson of New Castle; five great-grandchildren; a special friend, Jana Marcum; and his beloved dog, Bo.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Geraldine Conaway; a brother, Rick Conaway; a step-brother, Jody Wilkinson ; the love of his wife, Marsha Conaway; and aunt, Ruth Hardyman.

There will be no public visitation and a Memorial Service may be held at a later date.
