Lilly Reynolds Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sproles Family Funeral Home - New Castle on Dec. 23, 2025.
Lilly Fae (Brazier) Reynolds, 86, went home to see Jesus on Monday afternoon, December 22, 2025, at Rawlins House in Pendleton.

Lilly was born on June 9, 1939, in Talladega, Alabama, a daughter of the late Andrew and Lottie Mae (Smith) Brazier.

On December 19, 1956, she married the love of her life, Allen Dale Reynolds, Sr. Together, they shared 69 years of devoted marriage, ministry, and partnership. Rarely was one seen without the other, as their lives were truly intertwined in faith, family, and service.

Lilly's greatest joy in life was her relationship with Jesus and the love she shared with her family. She was known for her warm smile, kind heart, and caring spirit. Lilly never met a stranger and genuinely lived out her faith every day. If she told you she was praying for you, you could be certain she meant it. She was a faithful helpmate to her husband as they spent many years in ministry-singing together while Dale preached-touching countless lives along the way.

A wonderful cook, Lilly was especially known for her biscuits and gravy and her fried chicken, meals that brought family and friends together around the table. She also loved to read and play board games and had a competitive streak that made game nights lively and fun. At her core, Lilly was a giver, remembered for her generosity and her heart of gold.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Rev. Dale Reynolds; her children, Allen Dale Reynolds, Jr. of New Castle, Cynthia Roberts of New Castle, Lilah (Charlie) Grant of Mooresville, Andrew Reynolds of New Castle, Judy (Darwin) Huntzinger of Wilkinson, Paula (Calvin) Romans of Indianapolis, and Jenny (Kenneth) Brooks of New Castle; 35 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; four sisters, Lena Chesser, Barbara (Tom) Bailey, Diane Brazier, and Teresa (George) Birdyshaw; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lilly was preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis and Frank Brazier; two sisters, Ethel Taff and Patsy Swack; a son-in-law, Clifton Roberts, Sr.; and a daughter-in-law, Joyce Reynolds.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2025, at Sproles Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Tommie J. Phillips officiating.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Graveside services will be held privately at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.

The Sproles family and staff are honored to serve the family of Lilly Fae Reynolds.
