Eugene R. Starner, age 77, long time resident of Cherry Hill, NJ Passed away on August 30, 2017 from complications of a stroke. He was born in Allentown, PA . Gene was the son of the late Harry and Arvilla (Keiper) Starner. Gene is sadly missed by his wife, Eileen N. Starner (nee Fallon), his sister Nancy J. Spiegel, and his large extended family, including many brothers and sisters in law and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Vanderwal, and by his two brothers, Paul Starner and Mark Starner.

After graduating from Liberty High School in Bethlehem, PA Gene attended Lehigh University, graduating with a major in physics. Until his retirement in 1999 Gene was employed as a Principal Electrical Engineer at L3Comm in Camden, NJ where he received many awards for his work, including 5 patents. In his retirement Gene enjoyed running model trains, solving puzzles, visiting the Jersey shore, and taking trips to Disney World. Gene will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, and humor.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation Friday Sept. 22, 2017 from 10 to 11AM at the HINSKI-TOMLINSON FUNERAL HOME 81 Haddon Ave. Haddonfield, NJ. Celebration of Gene's life will be at 11 AM. Interment was private. In lieu of flowers contributions in Gene's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900
