Robert Dickmeyer Obituary

Robert "Bob" Dickmeyer, 69, of Roseville, Calif., passed away July 6, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born November 8, 1948 to Herbert and Ruth (Rodekohr) Dickmeyer. Bob graduated from Battle Creek High School and was a Vietnam War veteran. Bob moved to California where he met and married his best friend, and a "California girl", Debra.
Although Bob lived his life out in California, he never stopped living from the true roots of his Husker blood. Raising and teaching his family to love the Lord, work hard, don't complain, and root on the Big Red every Saturday.
Bob is survived by Debra and sons Justin (Rachel) and Jason (Melissa), grandchildren Violet, Landon, Annabelle, Primrose, and Kailey. Mother, Ruth, of Battle Creek, brother, Jim (Marlys) of Palm City, Fla., sister, Jan Smith (Randy) of Lincoln and several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

I just found out yesterday about the passing of Bob. I am still trying to wrap my head around the loss of him. He was a good friend, great co-worker. we had a lot of laughs, and serious moments.
I remember when went to a sushi restaurant with all of the managers. Bob and I look at each other after every everyone ordered raw fish. We looked at each other, made funny faces and ordered a cooked chicken dish. Since we were both from Nebraska, GO BIG RED we used to discuss the faces, good or bad. I will truly miss him even though I hadn't seen him for a few years. We had some good memories
May his family get through this together. My prayers are with.

Bob was one of the nicest co-workers I worked with at J&W-Agilent. We worked together in finance. His guidance and his occasional ribbing were how I got through some days.
These memories and the group get-togethers to share our elf stories, will always cause me to smile when I think of Bob D.
May all his family and friends continue to keep him alive with the memories he shared with us.
RIP Bob.
