Musical career
Woolfolk joined Earth, Wind & Fire in 1972, in time for their fourth studio album. Their fame was on the rise when he joined, and they soon had major hits including “Shining Star,” “September,” “Boogie Wonderland,” and “Let’s Groove.” Woolfolk also played saxophone for artists including Phil Collins; Level 42; and Earth, Wind & Fire bandmate Philip Bailey. was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Earth, Wind & Fire, and he was a member of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame.
