Bonni Lou Kern appeared at age 14 on the very first episode of ‘The Mickey Mouse Club’ in 1955 in a segment titled “Save Bonni Lou Kern!” She was a cast member during the first season of the popular Disney children’s show from 1955 until 1956. The series would run until 1959. Kern was given Disney's Mousecar Award, the highest honor awarded by the company.
