Acting career
LaFleur’s early career included small roles in movies such as “Cannery Row,” “I Ought to Be in Pictures,” “WarGames,” “The Blob,” and “The Man with One Red Shoe,” as well as TV appearances on “M*A*S*H” and “Webster.” In 1989’s “Field of Dreams,” he played Chicago White Sox first baseman Chick Gandil, a major player in the 1919 Black Sox scandal. LaFleur portrayed another historic baseball star when he appeared as Babe Ruth in 1993’s “The Sandlot.” LaFleur played the Tooth Fairy in “The Santa Clause 2” and “The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause.” He made later TV appearances on “Malcolm in the Middle,” “Tales from the Crypt,” “Boy Meets World,” and “Key and Peele.”
