C-Knight’s legacy
Born Arnez Blount, C-Knight formed the Dove Shack alongside Bo-Roc and 2Scoops. They had their first success with their track “This Is the Shack” on Warren G’s triple platinum album “Regulate… G Funk Era.” Warren G brought the group to Def Jam Recordings via his G-Funk Entertainment label, and they released their debut album, “This Is the Shack” in 1995. It included the hit “Summertime in the LBC” as well as the follow-up singles “We Funk (The G Funk)” and “Bomb Drop.”
The Dove Shack only released one other album, 2006’s “Reality Has Got Me Tied Up.” In the interim, C-Knight recorded a solo album in 2001, “Knight Time.”
