Cindy Morgan’s legacy

Before beginning her acting career, Morgan worked as a radio DJ, TV weather announcer, and model in ads for such products as Irish Spring soap. Her debut movie role was a notable one; she played Lacey Underall, niece of Ted Knight’s (1923–1986) Judge Elihu Smalls, in the 1980 comedy classic “Caddyshack.” Another memorable role followed in 1982’s “Tron,” as Morgan played computer programmer Lora and her video game alter-ego Yori.

On TV, Morgan starred in the short-lived 1982 series “Bring ‘Em Back Alive” and had a recurring role on “Falcon Crest” as Gabrielle Short in 1987 and 1988. She made guest appearances on such shows as “CHiPs,” “The Fall Guy,” “Matlock,” and “The Larry Sanders Show.” In later years, Morgan often appeared at fan conventions.

Morgan on “Caddyshack”

“We were absolutely having the best time possible. It was a challenge certainly working with four of the funniest men on the planet, and there was quite of bit of improvisation. It was the longest and best party I’ve ever attended.” —from a 2010 interview for Retro Junk
