Cole Brings Plenty (1996–2024), actor in Yellowstone prequel 1923

by Linnea Crowther

Cole Brings Plenty was a Native American actor known for his work on the “Yellowstone” prequel, “1923.”

Cole Brings Plenty’s legacy

The nephew of “Yellowstone” star Mo Brings Plenty, Brings Plenty was a Mnicoujou Lakota descendant of Brings Plenty, a warrior who fought at the Battle of Little Bighorn. He began his acting career by playing sheepherder Pete Plenty Clouds on two episodes of the first season of “1923” in 2023. The show depicts the abuse of Native Americans in residential schools, an issue about which Brings Plenty worked to raise awareness. Last year, he and his uncle spoke to the U.S. Senate Committee on Indian Affairs about the schools and other Native American issues.

In addition to his work on “1923,” Bring Plenty appeared in episodes of the recent shows “The Tall Tales of Jim Bridger” and “Into the Wild Frontier.” He was also a student at Haskell Indian Nations University.
