Doug Jones was a top relief pitcher in the Major Leagues for 16 seasons. He was a five-time All-Star who had some of his best results with the Cleveland Guardians (Indians.) In 7 seasons with Cleveland, he was an All-Star 3 times and his 129 saves is the third most in franchise history. He was also an All-Star with the Phillies and Houston Astros and he pitched for the Cubs, Brewers, Orioles, and Oakland A’s. He was not a fastball pitcher but was known for having one of the best changeups in the game.
