Gregory Itzin was a longtime character actor probably best known for his role as the evil President Logan on the TV series “24.”

Gregory Itzin was a character actor who appeared in many plays and guest roles on television shows in his career. His signature role came when he played villainous U.S. President Logan on the popular Fox action series “24,” which starred Kiefer Sutherland. He was nominated twice for an Emmy for that role. He had a recurring role in “Friends,” playing Paul Rudd’s father. He appeared five times on various “Star Trek” series including “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” and “Star Trek: Voyager.”
