Joe E. Tata (1936–2022), “Beverly Hills, 90210” actor

Joe E. Tata was an actor best known for playing Nat, the kind owner of the Peach Pit diner on “Beverly Hills, 90210.”

The Peach Pit

Joe E. Tata appeared on many television shows in the 1960s including “Batman,” “Hogan’s Heroes,” and “Lost in Space.” He continued to make guest appearances in the 1970s and 80s on “The Rockford Files,” “Wonder Woman,” “Magnum P.I.” and “General Hospital.” His best known and most beloved role was playing Nat, the kind fatherly owner of the Peach Pit, the diner hangout for the “Beverly Hills, 90210” characters. He appeared in over 200 episodes of the series and reprised the role of Nat for a few episodes of the “90210 spin-off.
