Judy Farrell (1938–2023), M*A*S*H actress

Judy Farrell was an actress best known for her recurring role as Nurse Able on “M*A*S*H.” 

Judy Farrell’s legacy 

Farrell played Nurse Able beginning in the fifth season of “M*A*S*H,” and appeared in the legendary 1983 series finale. Her other notable roles included a four-episode arc on “Fame” as Charlotte Miller, as well as guest appearances on shows including “Emergency,” “Room 222,” “The Partridge Family,” and “Benson.” Farrell wrote one episode of “Fame,” then went on to a regular writing job on the soap opera “Port Charles” for several years in the 1990s and 2000s. Farrell was married to her “M*A*S*H” co-star Mike Farrell, who played Captain B.J. Hunnicutt, for 20 years beginning in 1963.
