Kabir Singh (1984–2024), stand-up comedian

Kabir Singh was a stand-up comedian who came to national attention when he earned his way to the semi-finals in season 16 of “America’s Got Talent.” 

Kabir Singh’s legacy 

Kabir Singh moved around as a child, leaving his birthplace of Portland, Oregon to move to India, and then returning to the United States at 13. All this moving and having to fit in with new people helped him develop a talent for making people laugh. 

As an adult, Singh began hitting comedy club stages and quickly made a name for himself, winning the San Francisco Comedy Competition and soon earning his way to television appearances. He landed appearances on “Gabriel Iglesias’s Stand-Up Revolution” and the animated show “Family Guy” in 2016. In the years that followed, he also performed on stage with stars like Dave Chappelle and Jo Koy, and he performed at comedy clubs across the nation. 

In 2021, Singh came to national attention when he competed in the 16th season of “America’s Got Talent.” Singh not only competed; he thrived, joking his way to the semi-finals and earning big accolades along the way. 

Over the years, Singh’s comedy has been seen on the BBC Network, Starz, Comedy Central, TV Asia, and many others.
