At least 37 people have died in flooding in eastern Kentucky. Many others are missing, and rescue and recovery efforts are underway.

Some of the names of the deceased have been released to the public. They are:

Gabe Hensley, 30.

Walter Hinkle, 76.

Nellie Mae Howard, 82.

Jeanette Johnson, 65.

Carol Miller, 72.

James Miller, 73.

Chance Noble, 1.

Maddison Noble, 8.

Nevaeh Noble, 4.

Riley Noble Jr., 6.

Clarence Sturgill, 79.

Jewel Sturgill, 65.

Brenda Webb, 81.
