Miller Farr’s legacy

He remained in the AFL through the 1970 merger with the NFL, first traded to the San Diego Chargers after a single season. In 1967, Farr was traded to the Houston Oilers, where he had his most successful seasons, including three consecutive AFL All-Star appearances. In 1968, he led the AFL in interception touchdowns.
After the AFL-NFL merger, Farr moved on to the St. Louis Cardinals, playing three seasons before finishing his NFL career with a single season with the Detroit Lions in 1973. He played briefly for the World Football League’s Florida Blazers in 1974 before his retirement.
