Sacramento Shooting Victims (2022)

Six people were killed, and 12 others were injured, in a shooting in downtown Sacramento, California early Sunday morning.

The shooting occurred as Sacramento’s nightlife was winding down and bars and clubs were closing for the night. There appeared to have been a fight before the shooting.

The six victims of the shooting have been identified. They are:

Johntaya “JoJo” Alexander, 21, of Elk Grove, California. She was an employee of Smart and Final and hoped to become a social worker.

Melinda Davis, 57, of Sacramento.

Sergio Harris, 38, of North Highlands, California. He was a father of two.

Joshua Hoye-Luchessi, 32, of Salinas, California. He was a father of six.

Yamile Martinez-Andrade, 21, of Selma, California.

De’Vazia Turner, 29, of Carmichael, California. He was a father of four.
