Rap Career

Going by Stezo, he started his music career as a dancer for the hip-hop group EPMD. Signing a record deal in 1989 with Sleeping Bag Records, Stezo received critical acclaim for his 1989 debut album which produced three singles, “To the Max,” “It’s My Turn,” and “Freak the Funk.” The drum break in “It’s My Turn” was one of the most sampled beats in 1990s hip-hop. He released two more albums that did not chart and later became a barber.
