At least 18 people have died and three people remain missing after extreme flooding from heavy rain Saturday in Middle Tennessee. Many homes were destroyed around the town of Waverly, Tennessee.
To assist in helping the victims of the flooding, President Biden approved a major disaster declaration, which will provide financial aid to individuals and households from the damages in Humphreys County.
Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis said, “You’ve seen us get a little emotional through some of this.” “You have to remember: These are people we know. These are people’s families that we know. These are people that we grew up with. This is just people of our small county. And it’s very close to us.”
We invite you to share condolences for the victims of the flood in Tennessee in our Guest Book.
