Don Newkirk was a New York City hip hop producer and musician who worked with De La Soul, Prince Paul, and 3rd Bass. He released a solo album in 1989 titled “Funk City.” Newkirk also worked with funk legend George Clinton and played on the Stetsasonic track “All That Jazz.” He collaborated with Prince Paul in 2020 on the score for the Netflix documentary “Who Killed Malcolm X.”
