Kraftwerk

Multi-instrumentalist Schneider started Kraftwerk in 1970 with friend Ralf Hutter in 1970. The band’s innovative electronic music using synthesizers, vocoders, and custom- made devices set the template for synth-pop, EDM, hip-hop, and electronic rock. The band’s critically acclaimed 1974 album “Autobahn” reached number 5 on the Billboard 200. The talented Schneider provided vocals and played synthesizer, flute, percussion, guitar, saxophone and other instruments. Kraftwerk was highly influential to many artists and bands including David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Ultravox, New Order, Daft Punk and others.
