Georgia Holt was an actress and singer who was the mother of superstar Cher.

Georgia Holt was a singer, actress, and model. She had guest appearances on the classic TV sitcoms “I Love Lucy” and “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet” in the 1950s. She was briefly married to truck driver John Sarkisian and the pair divorced soon after having Cher. Cher helped her mother release her only album, “Honky Tonk Woman” in 2013. Holt first recorded the songs in 1980 with Elvis Presley’s band. The making of the album was part of a Lifetime documentary in 2013 titled “Dear Mom, Love Cher,” which took a closer look at the family’s history.
