Haiti Earthquake Victims (2021)

At least 1,941 people have died in a magnitude 7.2 earthquake in Haiti. Others are still missing, as search and rescue teams hunt for survivors trapped in wreckage.

The earthquake took place Saturday morning. Haiti had been hit by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake in 2010, a disaster it hadnt fully recovered from. And the 2021 earthquake came just a month after the assassination of President Jovenel Moefse (1968e280932021), which left the country in political turmoil. On the heels of the earthquake, a tropical depression threatens further damage to Haiti.
