Acting career

Pickett’s big break in acting came in 1991, when he played Dr. Chip Lakin on “Days of Our Lives.” In 1997, he took his best-known role on "Port Charles," playing Frank Scanlon, Jr. for the show’s entire run until 2003. Pickett later had two roles on “General Hospital,” subbing as Lorenzo Alcazar in 2006 and landing a regular role as Detective David Harper in 2007. Pickett’s other TV appearances included “China Beach,” “Dexter,” and “Desperate Housewives.” He also had roles in movies including “Bundy: An American Icon” (2008) and “A Soldier’s Revenge” (2020).
