Kansas City Chiefs star linebacker
Jim Lynch was a star linebacker in college playing for Notre Dame. He led the Fighting Irish in tackles in 1965 and 1966 and won the Maxwell Award for college football’s best player in 1966. He was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round of the 1967 draft and played all his 11 NFL seasons with the team. He played on one of the all-time greatest linebacking corps in NFL history next to NFL Hall of Fame members Willie Lanier and Bobby Bell. The trio helped the Chiefs win Super Bowl IV over the Minnesota Vikings. He was an AFL All-Star in 1968 and is a member of the Chiefs Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame.
