Acting career
Levin was best known for his long-running role on “Ryan’s Hope” as reporter Jack Fenelli. He was with the show for its entire 13-year run, and he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for his performance three years in a row, from 1978 to 1980. Fenelli and Mary Ryan, played by Kate Mulgrew, became a popular soap opera supercouple. Levin made brief appearances on other soap operas, “As the World Turns” and “All My Children.” He was also seen on “Law & Order” and “New York News,” as well as on stage in productions including “Hamlet.” Levin was a U.S. Navy veteran who served for two years.
