Mike Halac was a professional wrestler better known as Mantaur when he wrestled with WWE in the 1990s.

Mike “Mantaur” Halac’s legacy

Halac debuted with WWE – then known as WWF – in his early wrestling persona of Bruiser Mastino in 1994. After a handful of matches, he introduced his best-known persona, Mantaur. Basing his character on the Minotaur of Greek myth, Halac would wear a bull’s head as he entered the ring to the sounds of snorting and bellowing. He wrestled WWE greats including Bret Hart and Scott “Razor Ramon” Hall (1958–2022).

Halac was with WWE off and on in 1995 and 1996, later wrestling with other promotions including World Championship Wrestling. His other personas included Tank and Madd Mustafa. In 2016, Halac was part of a class action suit against WWE, alleging that the organization concealed the risk of brain injury to wrestlers. The suit was later dismissed.
