Reggie “Combat Jack” Ossé (1969–2017), host of the popular hip-hop podcast “The Combat Jack Show”

Reggie Ossé, better known as “Combat Jack,” host of a popular hip-hop podcast, has died from colon cancer at the age of 48, according to multiple news sources.

Osse’ hosted the hip-hop podcast, “The Combat Jack Show.” Originally an internet radio show, the podcast featured many prominent hip-hop personalities as guests. Common, Ice Cube, and RZA had appeared on the show. Osse’ was known for his encyclopedic knowledge of hip-hop.

Osse’ started his career as an entertainment lawyer representing Jay-Z, DJ Clark Kent, and other hip-hop figures. He moved on to become the managing editor for the magazine “The Source.”

Many paid tribute to “Combat Jack” on social media.
